New York Governor Kathy Hochul ended the statewide mask mandate for schools and childcare facilities on Wednesday March 2nd, citing a steep drop in COVID-19 cases.
"It wasn't always easy, but students, educators and parents stepped up to fight this pandemic," Hochul tweeted. "We've reached this exciting milestone because of your hard work."
Gloria Parks Community Center, which hosts the Hustle for Health Senior Program, has opted to follow the new guidelines and make masks OPTIONAL for all attendees.
You are welcomed to continue to wear a face covering during class, but it is no longer required for admittance.

The Statewide Indoor Mask Requirement was Lifted in New York on February 10, 2022. However, masks are still required In Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Shelters, Transportation Schools, Childcare facilities and other related entities.
Hustle for Health Programs are currently running exclusively at Gloria J Parks Community Center in Buffalo, NY. Since this facility is home to an afterschool program as well as a Day Care center, the mask mandate is still in effect until further notice.
We will continue to ask you to stay home if you are experiencing any Flu-like symptoms.
Our Monday / Wednesday class capacity is 40 people. This gives us enough space to remain socially distance during the 60-min dance workout.
Due to the limited class size, advance class registration is encouraged.
